- Perform thermo-structural analysis on engine assembly using: thermal loads determined from coolant jacket CFD anlaysis; firing loads determined from crankshaft dynamic analysis; and assembly loads including bolt pretension and mechanical interference
- Provide design recommendations for crankcase weight optimisation taking into account manufacturability.
